Update: Passed with Honours! Callsign: VA3KZR
Honestly, I couldn't have done it without the amazing instructors and volunteers at LARC (https://www.larc.ca/) - Thank-you!
Update: It is going, have had 2 classes, one virtual due to local airshow needing the class location (427 Wing - RCAF). Learning alot - but sooo much math that I haven't touched in... over 3 decades (and I was never that good with it back in the day either...)
Starting something new (step1 for a memorial for my dad). Taking the course offered by my local Amateur Radio Club to hopefully get my license by December. #hamradio http://www.larc.ca/
@rozcakj Good luck. Our "basic" test is a fair amount of work, compared to say, America's "tech" license, but it's well worth the effort if you can get your 80% and have life-long privileges over the complete set of amateur bands! Hamstudy.org is great for drilling the question pool, and is free on a computer web browser.
@ve3mal have wanted to do it since I was a young teenager, but then the morse was a hard requirement, now - optional, but I have alot more confidence in my technical abilities then I had when I was a young lade! Thanks, am excited and looking forward to meeting my local community as well.
