Pro tip. Whenever crimping a plug on a cable remember: the more cable you cut off, the lower the attenuation.
@vu3rdd no, sorry. It was supposed to be a joke. As I was crimping a plug I accidentally cut off too much of the insulation so I had to trim off the end so it would fit into the plug. But I thought that it isn't too bad because the cable was now a few cm shorter and that means the loss is a tiny bit less.
@dl4mat you mean, more insulator part of the cable? I have very less experience with soldering cables and whatever I did in the past, did not go well. And I ended up relying on some expert friends..
