#introductions
Hi I'm NA8Q. I mostly operate 40m CW but I'm willing to make an exception and try another band if it means that I can work some of the new UK friends on here ;)
#introductions Hi, I'm ham radio operator from DL, licensed since abt 4 years. Interested mainly in #qrp #wwff #pota #sota and other outdoor activities. 73
😳
erm, I thought I'd make a thing.
It's a very basic #webRing for #amateurRadio people on the #fediverse 's personal sites.
It only has itself and my site so far.
Please toot an #introductions so we can get to know you + some hashtags too so we know what interests you
You can find more people on our server using the local timeline + directory

This needs to be read: https://lunduke.substack.com/p/the-time-suse-the-german-linux-company.
I have my own, much less impactful, SUSE stories. Like the time they took my distribution, which I'd assembled at home and burned for friends, ran a search and replace to make it SuSE Nerd Linux, and sold it for good money. Or the time they went to LinuxTag and intentionally sabotaged Internet for the Gentoo developers. Or that one time they threatened Linux Magazin in Germany with a total ad stop if the magazine ran an article about the "ten best distros" and didn't put SuSE first.
But THIS! THIS is shameful and people need to be beaten for it. Uninstall your SUSE, get Arch or, if you must, Ubuntu or Debian, and never look back.
I've been here on and off for a while, but its time for a proper #introduction.
I work as a software engineer.
I go #camping in our camper van (#vanlife -ish) regularly and use it as an excuse for many projects.
I’m a licensed #hamradio operator and enjoy #qrp portable operating.
I (attempt to) solve a lot of problems with #electronics.
I use #3dprinting to make parts for my projects and repair things.
I do a good bit of fiction #reading.
I mess around with cars. Such as my #vwbeetle

LB: If you’re used to Twitter, reporting users probably feels like a futile last resort but on fedi, moderation is done by human beings. You don’t need an iron-clad case - reporting rudeness, bad behaviour, or a sketchy vibe can alert mods to potential trouble even if they don’t take immediate action. And remember to check the “forward anonymously to the remote instance” button too
Please welcome

Hello #fediverse! I'm glad to be here now too :) If you don't know me from Twitter yet: My name is Tobi, callsign DB8TS! I belong to generation Y (unfortunately born too late for the cool 80s home computer stuff). I'm licensed since 2016 and member of DARC and GQRP-Club! #introductions.
I know mhz.social have closed registrations...
but what other #amateruRadio #hamRadio things are there on the fediverse?
(not people ... yet, just servers/instances/communities)
#introductions
My name is carter and I am a ham. Others may know me by my callsign of NS7I. I am a fake ham that has no time to radio. I also like to create and abandon ham radio web applications like Skeddr and RepeaterWiki. Thank you for listening to my TED talk. Don't forget to smash that SUBSCRIBE button and ring that bell so you you.. oh wait. 73
Please welcome @carter
