Got my station from @smitty back online with some very good COAX (short run!) and a new RTLSDR V3 for some head-to-head comparisons with my current 440 antenna, mounted close by. (testing!)

@smitty Hmm, side by side, identical machine, identical cards, good coax on both. biast turned on on both.

@smitty METOP-C... Reference vs. new SATNOGS antenna. Looks like it's time to pull it back down and see what's going on. Literally only soldered phasing loops on there... can't imagine I screwed those up too, LOL.

@ai6yr @smitty I sometimes see similar with my setup, I still haven't got around to digging into it :/

@ai6yr dang. :-(

Have you tried transmitting with an HT to confirm it can see that? That’ll be so much local RF it would have a hard time NOT seeing it. Maybe tune to a local repeater?

@smitty Okay, re-soldered my phasing coax... there was a suspect solder. Running airspy, rtl_tcp on 446.0 with my antenna and it receives fine, I'm about 50 feet away. LNA is working, bias-T vs. non-biast T receive is noticeably different. Turned it back on, now to try satellites again!
