Yes, the first book features a map that I drew of the post-Cascade world of the story, and the second one has a map by @martennorr showing the post-Blight changes.

He and a few others are also lovely about drawing art for me, so here is a bonus chibi illustration of the scene in Cascade where Sujay turns Jonah into a bear for lulz. I have a big art folder but this one is my favourite.

A map of North America after the Blight. There are a lot of little details and if someone has the time to mention them all, I would be eternally grateful. The main powers are the Dominion of Canada, the American Trade Zone, and the Silicon Valley Autonomous Region's Special Economic Zone. Most of the continent west of the Rockies has fallen into the sea. Map is by Marten Norr.

Canada is "the country currently known as Canada" and the US is the American Trade Zone, divided into the Free States, the American rump state, and the Silicone Valley Autonomous Region. The map features snarky commentary written in-universe by Ian, and also has a large coffee ring stain at the bottom. I drew it.

Ian is a red-headed white man in a tie and looks very happy about the situation. Jonah is a very tiny bear saying "grr." Marten Norr drew this.

@youseeatortoise @martennorr Love these maps! The choices hurt my brain though. Lake superior is almost 200m above sea level, and it's inundated, yet parts of FL that sit a few meters above sea level are islands? The worst case scenario for the great lakes isn't sea inundation, it's drought causing them to drop. Still, thanks for sharing. Fun to look over.

@ve3mal @martennorr thanks. To be fair, neither of us are geography experts. But also, it’s not just sea rise causing these things.
