I think I can officially declare that I'm a cyclist again!
I used to ride an upright bike for commuting to/from transit, but got out of the habit when I did more car commuting five years ago. I donated my bike to the local community bike group so it could be refurbished and go to good use.
I'm not going back to commuting to transit, but wanted to do more exercise so I invested into a Catrike Dumont which is a recumbent tadpole trike.

I've been riding daily for the last week and this cycle has been the most enjoyable experience. My local Catrike dealer went above and beyond to help me make sure this was the right cycle for me.
Now to figure out where to mount a ham radio!

@kn4ntu It's by far the nicest one I've ever owned. I was interested in a recumbent about 20 years ago (a Bike-E), but was well out of my budget. I'm glad that when I decided to get another bike for exercise that I remembered that interest and looked at them again.
They definitely aren't for everybody (especially given the cost), but I'm glad such a highly rated recumbent is still made domestically here in the United States too.
@ku7pdx You ever kick back and read a book while your out riding?
@kn4ntu There's an idea! Maybe once I'm a more seasoned rider!
