Imagine if #Firefox, #Chrome, and their derivatives could render Markdown, AsciiDoc, LaTeX, EPUB, and Gemtext as seamlessly as they handle PDFs. This could revolutionize the way we publish lightweight websites, making it as simple as dropping a text file into a directory.

@adele fun fact: that is the original idea of the web, only the mark-up language is a bit more verbose than Markdown.
@adele also you know how it goes, right! Now that we can render Markdown in the browser, can we have stylesheets? And JavaScript? And videos? And two weeks later it's the same mess as the web that we know and loathe.
