You know, I have been installing custom Roms for long enough that when I had to ask for help installing a gsi it makes me feel kinda dumb.

@esperera_98 hey, happy birthday! Later I will try to get a picture of my cat for you

Discussing limericks earlier today reminded me of one of my favorites—I especially like that the last line can be read in two ways still scan.

Here it is:

A preoccupied vegan named Hugh
Picked up the wrong sandwich to chew.
He took a big bite
before spitting, in fright,

Hey fediverse, I can use everyone's help today to cheer up a lovely lady who is new to the fediverse.

It is her 21st birthday and sadly her family is gone so she is rather sad she cant celebrate.

Her handle is @esperera_98

I thought it would be sweet if everyone took a little time out to wish her a happy birthday and maybe attach a meme or something fun that might be special to her and make her smile. I tried to get some of her interests yesterday so we can use it to help pick memes or quotes or whatever that might help cheer her up

Here is what she said when I tried to ask her about that:

well mmm, I love the sea more than anything hahaha I always say I wish I could live there 😂. I adore dogs and cats and I like so much daisy flowers 🌼 and sunflowers 🌻

So blast her time line away with love, and pictures of daisies and dogs, and cats and the sea. Lets make her smile!

#help #birthday

Listening to Sparks Fly by Taylor Swift. I really enjoy her . Guess I am a . Oh well, I don't mind

Sad. A guy was asking me to find out if the SharkRF OpenSPOT could do -> cross-mode. Answer is no. Apparently audio has to be transcoded from AMBE to whatever the DSTAR codec is. DMR -> Fusion, DMR -> P25, DMR -> NXDN and all the above to DMR seem to work though.

Well, I am awake. Good morning mastodon.

This crazy of ours is very touchy. Sit on the couch, he wants nothing to do with you. Lay on the couch and whala

My favorite quote from Harry Potter (books) was when they reveal Severus still loves Lilly after all these years. Some back story, when a wizard falls in love his patronus changes to match that of the person they love. Lilly's patronus was a silver doe.

"So the boy… the boy must die?" asked Snape quite calmly.

"And Voldemort himself must do it, Severus. That is essential."

Another long silence. Then Snape said, "I thought… all these years… that we were protecting him for her. For Lily."

"We have protected him because it has been essential to teach him, to raise him, to let him try his strength," said Dumbledore, his eyes still tight shut. "Meanwhile, the connection between them grows ever stronger, a parasitic growth: Sometimes I have thought he suspects it himself. If I know him, he will have arranged matters so that when he sets out to meet his death, it will truly mean the end of Voldemort."

Dumbledore opened his eyes. Snape looked horrified.

"You have kept him alive so that he can die at the right moment?... You have used me… I have spied for you and lied for you, put myself in mortal danger for you. Everything was supposed to keep Lily Potter's son safe. Now you tell me you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter…"

"But this is touching, Severus," said Dumbledore seriously. "Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?"

"For him?" shouted Snape. "Expecto Patronum!"

From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe: She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.

"After all this time?"

"Always," said Snape.

John Legere is leaving the CEO job at . I think they will continue to do well. However, tmo just won't be the same without John's crazy personality.

Morning mastodon. Been up for about 1.5 hours listening to a T-Mobile business call, reading, and eating some breakfast

My room is cold AF due to the fact that it is in the basement. Glad I have blankets!

Just read a great book called Zone War from smashwords. Rampant killer drones, battling AIs and guns, lots of guns

Just another day on this little blue marble we call home. Maybe one day it will be just another Sol on the little red marble we will call home
