So I'm typically an HF CW guy, but I've finally set up my MMDVM hotspot. It's working on DSTAR with my TH-D74, and there is a DMR handheld radio arriving tomorrow. Planning to keep in touch with friends back home with some element of radio. Yes I can do it on the interwebs, but radio is more cool. ๐Ÿ‘

@m0pcb exactly the reason I got into DMR myself. now I'm just working on getting my friends in the UK to get their crap together ;)

@witchy I've got a lot to learn. Getting the node and DSTAR radio working was not as straightforward as I thought it should be. Annoyingly the local repeaters here (MD) favour Yaesu Fusion, but back home (UK) it's DMR and DSTAR. ๐Ÿ™„ Figured at least I know people on DMR ๐Ÿ‘

@Sabex there's a dstar linked repeater not far from here. I heard some Brit calling CQ on it one day. It took a while to separate my palm from my face afterwards @m0pcb

@Sabex does being so negative to a complete stranger make you feel good? What I do with my hobby is entirely none of your business, just like I don't try and force my views into you.

@m0pcb

Heck yeah!

Great work!

Thanks for instance as well!
