Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) have announced another online amateur radio course. Those in Canada who would like to sign up should start by having a look at rac.ca/amateur-radio-courses/

@on5zo @VE7WYC yes chocolate is good too! But when the sap starts running that's time for the ice-cream and maple syrup. One of my uncles had a farm and he sugared off (as it is called here) in the spring. We used to get our syrup from him when I was young.

@VE7WYC @va3db @on5zo Correction: the Canadian Amateur Radio Federation (1967) merged with the CRRL (until 1979 the Canadian division of ARRL) to form RAC in 1993. So partly true.

@oe1omk @VE7WYC @on5zo Oh you lot missed the anger between the two groups until we merged. Almost fisticuffs at times! HAHAH CRRL guys against CARF. It was silly. I had some inside knowledge at the time of the merger. CRRL was losing money and well, we made a deal. ;)
