I think I have packed everything into the box!

F4GOH's aprs thing
Lipo cell
Cell charger, and boost converter
Oled screen
GPS module
USB extension for updating the code
Power switch
SMA extension for aerial

It's so tight the only thing glued in is the power module so it remains aligned to the hole on the back for charging!

Are there any resources for learning about electronics/electrical projects from a *debugging* standpoint rather than a theoretical one?

For example, given a simple application, what is the correct schematic to solve it, *and why*? I find when coding, I solve issues as they come up and learn along the way. So a series of walkthroughs from 1) my intuition is to do it this way, 2) why this way doesn't work (i.e., "error messages"), and 3) what the next step of a solution is.

Trying to work out how to fit all of the bits into a box that is slightly too small...

If you did "npm install -g" something a while ago, go run "npm update -g" now.

Something I was using was at version 3.9.0 and the current version is 5.2.0!

Hi there. I am Michael from Hannover, Germany. Been ham since 1982 (DH3EAJ, DL2EBX) and was one of the Editors of CQ DL, the DARC-Club-magazine. Now I am working for a wellknown computer magazine.
As a ham I am inactive, as other obligations take a lot of time - but Ham Radio never sleeps.
I like high speed telegraphy, DX and Contests and ARDF, but I strongly believe the most important part of ham radio is to be keen to experiment and learn new things.

Are there any hams on here that would like to review a 0% technical article aimed at QST? This is not my QEX article but something totally different.

Tonight at sundown marks the start of Yom Kippur. May those of you who are fasting have an easy fast and may each of you be sealed in the Book of Life for a happy, healthy, and prosperous year ahead.

I'm probably looking in the wrong place, but I can't find documentation for this...

In if I want to send a packet with ambiguous location, do I just drop the end bit of the location?

Eg. 1.2345 becomes 1.234

Or do I need to set a flag as well?

I'm sad, but also glad to hear other people reacting to that 8bit guy video.

When I watched it I was uncomfortable, thinking "how have you not got the right tools after all this time?"
It seemed to me there was an overall lack of care?

Good to know I'm not alone!

It's something I like about techmoan, he will often open something and go "nope, I don't know what I'm doing here" and close it up again.

ham radio, morse

I want to learn morse, but it is really hard for me. I used lcwo and the morse machine. I get pretty good at single characters, but I struggle as soon as there are more than 3-5 characters. Anybody experienced that as well? What is a good way to over come that?

I am pretty good in going by sound and not translating it to dot and ditts. For some characters, they translate directly into stressed word (e.g. when I hear morse R my head syas "Rharbarber", german for rhubarb) which ..

I downloaded #StreetComplete, and one quest asks about streetlamps - but we have a situation in my town where on many streets these are only lit from evening hours of darkness until 23:00-23:30, and then shut off until 05:00 (if its not already light by then).

There isn't an option for this arrangment; how should it be tagged?

For all #MMDVMHost users with OLED, user data base display feature is now available!
