Has someone asked you to "caption your image" or "add a text description" or "use alt text" and you're not sure what that is, or how?
This page is here to help!
Covers most (all?) Android apps, web interfaces, and TUI/CLIs that I know about.
(I know that not everyone can describe things, and that's ok! This page is here to help people who want to but don't know how, or want some tips.)
Deep links should work, e.g. for @Tusky
@mercury hey! I don't have an AppleFone(tm) so I wonder if you'd like to contribute to this guide for your app?
@mastonaut I don't have any apple devices (well, I do, but this laptop runs Manjaro Linux)
I wonder if you'd like to contribute to this guide for your apps?
@M0YNG @tootapp Dag hasn’t been that active lately, but I’ll give it a go. 1) Add your image by selecting the LIBRARY or CAMERA buttons. (If you haven’t already done so, you will need to give Toot! permission to access your Photos or camera respectively.) 2) As the app instructions suggest, tap on the image preview. 3) Tap on the text at the bottom of the screen and enter the description. 4) Tap anywhere off the text to return to your post.
