I have a netgear DGND3700v2 router that I thoguht would be useful if it ran dd-wrt.

Good news - it can!
Bad news - the factory firmware blocks uploading non-factory firmware
Good news - older factory firmware doesn't do this check
Bad news - said firmware doesn't appear to exist

I've tried various variations of firmware, most didn't work, one did, but still didn't let me put dd-wrt on it.

Then I went and checked the details, and I was following info on wndr3700v2 not dgnd3700v2

🤦
